Swift Changes

Some of you may have noticed the pace pick up the second half of this year? It’s seems like time is flying by & we’ll be at the end of 2015 in a flash. The planet is accelerating & as it does we as light beings expand too. This expansion is high speed. It’s nothing to be afraid of it’s actually a fantastic period to become empowered & live a life of excellence.

The energy is electric this month. Today marks Spring Equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. New cosmic doors are opening. I’ve been feeling the build up for a while. A slower pace was required of me for the past ten days that’s for sure. I pulled away, retreated & looked after myself first. Shying away from too many commitments & honouring the commitment to myself rather than putting others needs before mine. It was a challenging week energetically but I’m reaping the benefits this week I can tell you!

We are also a week into Mercury Retrograde in Libra that started on 17th September & will conclude on the 8^th/9^th October. Mercury assists us to recognize the magic within us all. It pushes us out of our comfort zone to become the best we can be. Mercury (& our other divine guides) supports us by holding our hand through what can be a challenging time. We come out the other end wiser & in our power so anything is possible.

Clear communication is the theme of Mercury Retro. I spoke about this in yesterday’s FB post. For many years I held back speaking my truth as often when I did it wasn’t always welcomed. Annual sore throats, stiff neck & shoulders were all signs I just needed to keep going rather than holding back. Look out for these signs especially if you feel you are suppressing your truth.

Clear Communications kit

The energy is fast right now as I’ve mentioned. Things can change in an instant. During Mercury Retro nothing is set in stone so it’s a good idea not to be making long-term plans at this time. If you do, be open to them changing.

This is why communicating needs to be on task & from the heart. Rapid & sudden changes can raise emotions, especially if people who aren’t so conscious surround you. People may lash out unexpectedly. Don’t take it personally; it’s more than likely not your fault. It’s easier to blame others than take responsibility?

Try your best to stay in your centre. I find being still, smiling & simply holding the space whilst others let off steam works well. It’s hard! You may feel the pull to snap back in reflection to the other person’s emotions. Giving them room to express will be less draining on you than fighting back.

I’m really liking the quick pace of rapid change we are experiencing. It’s exciting I never know what’s around the corner.

Have you observed how ‘short notice’ life is at the moment?

I look at my diary & see gaps. ‘Ahh that’s nice an easy day.’ Then *bam* something (or two even three things) comes up last minute. Planning ahead just isn’t serving me lately. On the fly is the way forward. When I’ve felt the pull to do something right then & there I’m all over it. The universe is being very supportive of this. Smooth planning backs up my quick decisions to show it’s the right way for me to be going.

It’s all about staying open.

Trust life is unfolding just the way it should be. Even if it’s at a crazy quick pace.

I’m definitely manifesting what I’ve asked for over the past few months. Now it is showing up in my outer world it’s time to take charge. It has been scary, as I wasn’t expecting it to show up so soon. “Am I ready for these major changes I so desired?” A little positive resistance is the perfect nudge to fly forward again. No time like the now. It’s all very exciting.

However amongst this speed there must be calm & slowness. The equal & opposite. My best advice is to find this ‘within.’ Take time to meditate, do some gentle exercise, read a book, be outdoors, anything that requires less speed on all levels. That way when the acceleration takes hold you are nice & relaxed to deal with it. Step off the merry-go-round & stop spinning, be still, observe & reflect.

Find some stillness in your day – reading, meditating & doing something that makes you happy.

This is the perfect time to take notes. Get journaling. Especially in high vibration periods it’s easy to forget what has happened. Logging our daily experiences allows us to then look back & see what we can learn. Notice the patterns, reoccurring messages & synchronicities. These all form our magical journey & help guide us on our way.

Sharing Crystals

Hands up who loves crystals?

They are truly magical agreed? Just being in the presence of these sparkling, colourful, & energetic divine beings is uplifting. Crystals make me happy.

There are so many books, websites, courses & information out there we can turn too to find out more about crystals: how to use them, what they mean, healing benefits & what not.

However as I have evolved my views of what I have ‘learned’ are now changing. I am questioning this borrowed knowledge I’ve gathered from others. The external sources are great to get started but it’s the ‘internal’ knowledge where I will now find that I am seeking. The true learning comes from within us.

It is the ways I use my crystals I am now ‘unlearning’ what I have learned. Especially around the whole theory of ‘not allowing others to hold, use or touch’ your personal crystal collection.

“I don’t want other people’s energy being transferred onto my precious crystals”

I hear you say. Allow me to explain further dear one’s.

Crystals are energy bodies that are called upon to help shift stale energies, blocked emotions, enhance healing, bring balance and amplify love. From their work crystals collect & absorb energy from other beings or environments. When crystals are picked up & touched energy can be transferred.

This is where people can get a bit touchy about others getting touchy with their crystals.

I learned early on to ‘not let others touch my crystals.’ A huge big fat NO. I’ve had people literally scream at me whilst admiring (from a distance out of respect) ‘don’t touch my crystal!’
We form bonds with our crystals. They are special & we cherish them, which is lovely. It does seem natural that you may wish to keep them ‘just for you’ especially if you are working on some big stuff with them. This is totally your choice, if you feel this is what you wish to do then please do.

It seemed natural that I myself adopted the same principle. Having a melt down when eager fingers went reaching around my collection. I actually felt nauseous once when someone was getting well involved with my crystals uninvited. When I shared this with another healer she said:

“Just show’s how unconscious they are, *tut*, just helping themselves without permission.”

Hello fear, judgment & negativity those wonderful emotions we all try so hard not to attach too.

“If you touch my crystal then it’s tainted. It’ll have all you junk all over it, what shall I do it’s ruined”

You get the idea.

This notion just didn’t sit well with me; this is not what I’m about. I’m a giver, a sharer & just love getting everyone involved together.

That was before let’s come back to the present moment. I can’t remember when the switch in perspective happened exactly & I don’t think it matters. Now I feel I do not have the right to lock away my crystals & not share them with whom ever is drawn to them. Crystals need to be out there for everyone to experience.

Looking back now I feel I felt nauseous over people touching my crystals because it didn’t feel right to deny the interaction. When life doesn’t flow as it should it gets uncomfortable. I was uncomfortable thinking ‘they shouldn’t be touching’ which was a ‘learned’ behavior from external resources. It wasn’t my true feeling. I actually wanted to hand over the crystals for people to look at & share. ‘Here hold this beauty & feel its energy.’

This is why is it advised to cleanse your crystals often. They are high vibrational beings that we should honour & respect. It’s common courtesy to thank them for their work by making sure they are cleansed & charge. (Just like you feed & water your pets, crystals need looking after too)

Cleansing is so simple & effective. It really isn’t a huge drama. Share your crystals then cleanse them, easy.

Now when I go within my own Soul to ask about this subject it feels so right to share. Actually I feel a sense of joy & love that I am assisting these magnificent beings to do the work they came here to do.

If someone comes into my space & are instantly drawn to picking up every crystal in there then they can. It’s what they need. The crystals are singing to them to be held. They have a job to do & they are far more evolved than I & know what they are doing. The crystals do their work by attracting those they are here to help in this way. Some people may not be open to having a healing session with me but simply holding a crystal they are drawn too (consciously or unconsciously) they see around my house they will receive the energy they need right there & then.

Help yourself to any of these!

I feel now I do not ‘own’ the crystals (or any of the metaphysical ‘tools’) in my care shall I say. They chose me as a caretaker & I brought them home so their work can reach many people. They belong to themselves; I am merely providing a space for them to work out of.

Be free now to have a go with anything in my healing room: crystal, oil, essence, silk, book or oracle cards – if you are drawn to them please use them. I fully trust you will get the healing you need. After all it is your own deep inner wisdom attracting you to the crystal, not me. You are healing & empowering yourself by this self-selection. I am here to hold space & facilitate, it’s in your own power to heal yourself.

Learning to Love Challenges

It’s a great gift to see & seek out the joy in every situation. Even within the dark, messy stuff there is light to be had. There has to be, it’s the law of nature that there is an equal & opposite of everything. Good/bad, black/white, up/down & so on. The challenge is to find the good stuff within what often is a challenge within it’s self.

Following? Let me explain a little further….

A major observation I’ve found by living a consciously aware life is that challenges or tests show up often. More than often actually, it’s kind of constant.

“But why” I sigh, “not again” I cry.

It’s like riding a freaking roller coaster at times. Just as life is sweet, flowing along nicely whoosh down it goes.

Of course it does.

Hello it’s called evolution, moving forward & all part of this wonderful spiritual life we lead. It’s part of the journey or process.

Choosing to live at one with the universe (aka consciously) I need to walk my talk. No good just preaching how good meditation & yoga is for all the Soul if I’m not actually doing these things myself. That is not authentic, it’s just bullsh*tting.

To keep me on my toes & make sure I’m walking this talk of mine the universe sends me wee tests or challenges. You know just to make sure I’m on track. If I’m doing my work & floating around in that Zen zone 24/7 the universe will pitch a curve ball to see if hit a home run or strike out.

Home run: I stay calm, centered & breathing when faced with a challenge exhaling love & rainbows.

Strike out: I fall off kilter, have a melt down, throw my toys out the pram & generally loose my shiz.

The result depends on how big a test I receive & how many times it has shown up before. Challenges will repeat till you get them, again & again & again. What fun!

Can I just say here it’s okay to have meltdowns. I find a minor meltie here & there is actually healthy for me. Again it’s part of the learning curve. It’s good for me to express my emotions this way, as it’s the ‘black’ or ‘dark’ side coming out. Instead of hiding it away, buried deep inside. This is not good as trapped emotions fester & grown into unwanted physical manifestations.

Acknowledging the reaction is important. Okay I reacted wildly but in a controlled & expressive manner that didn’t hurt or offend anyone. That’s that out the way now I can see clearly what blessings the challenge that fueled said reaction has.

Even better when the melt down doesn’t happen at all (home run). The challenge presents, I step back calmly, take a look around from all angles, breathe & look for the gold. This is where I meet the universe half way & say ‘yes I got this, I’m walking my talk.’ Next!

For example there has been lot’s of shifts & changes over the past year with my yoga-teaching roster. I’ve grown to expect this now as the businesses I work for evolve, teachers come & go, things change etc.

If one of my classes changes I’m very cool about it now. Staying calm, not panicking about money or scrambling around looking for other classes that fit my logistics better. If a door shuts it means I now have space to invite something new & fresh in. Opportunities always will present & more often than not they are for the better. How awesome is that?

I’ve done the freaking out bit in this area, now I only react with love & excitement about what new things will step into my life now. Far more easier.

It’s the same with my Reiki training workshops. If I don’t have anyone booked in I don’t go on the big pushy marketing mission to fill the spaces. I keep putting it out there softly till a few days before. (Sometimes people book in literally the day before & I’m ready to receive them) Then trust if no one presents it means I need the weekend off for some well-deserved self-love time. What a treat, a free weekend, totally unexpected, embrace & enjoy. Not worry I should have kept my yoga class or allow ‘I’m not good enough’ self-doubt or ‘but why’s’ to step in.

Be in the flow with the natural ebbs & waves of life. Ride along, not against the current & even with the odd river rock to send you off course, sail on around. Look for the joy to be had in everything around you.

Next time you are faced with a challenge that shakes your boat. Take a look at the bigger picture. Within the perceived doom & gloom there will be some light. Turn bad on it’s head to find the good. See the test the universe has sent you to see how blooming awesome you are doing. Conquer & receive! What an achievement.

Dropping the Protection

Travel offers a change of space & invites fresh energy into one’s life. Everything appears exciting & different which can be very uplifting. There are opportunities to explore & new things to discover. Being away from home is like one big adventure every day.

This is just what I’ve been doing for the past eight weeks by travelling to the East coast of Australia. Stepping out of my normal day-to-day routine allowed space for a spiritual adventure to present.

Sea change, new adventures & a Soul cup refill

We are all constantly evolving & expanding. This can get quite uncomfortable at times. Simply trust the periods of discomfort are leading to a growth spurt. This is how I felt for most of April leading into May. When I arrived east I knew this was the time for reflection & retreat.

Even those of us who have consciously chosen to take a more spiritual path, leading from within, have challenges. Probably more so than ever. Nowadays the challenges show up thick & fast. Working knowingly with the universe is fascinating. I wish to accelerate, learn & grow in this lifetime so embrace challenges head on in order to achieve this. It’s the best life education I feel I can receive. That is why I share this story with you today to let you know we are all ONE going through the same things.

A big check in with myself was long overdue. One major change I’d noticed about myself was physical. I wasn’t feeling comfortable in my skin. This was showing up on my face with pimple breakouts, congestion & redness. My clothes were feeling tight & I didn’t like what I was seeing in the yoga room mirror. So much so I’d started to wear long tops to practice in. This I haven’t done for four & a half years. I was picking the skin on my fingers & at my nails especially when I feeling challenged.

This behaviour wasn’t authentic, hiding away instead of addressing why there I was feeling discomfort. The extra physical layers appearing (It wasn’t a huge amount but enough to get my attention) were for protection – from myself.

Why did I need protecting?

Everything was going really well, and still is for me, both in business & personally. Even better than ever actually, I’m on a real upswing this year. With every pull forward there is always an equal & opposite pull back. My positive resistance showed up as…

Self-sabotage.

Hence the need for protection, I was attacking myself. The self-sabotage came in the form of falling into victim mode (This was part of my Mercury Retrograde theme for May). There are a few people who challenge me greatly & I just can’t escape them (& shouldn’t have to). I feel they are here to help me honor my truth. My buttons were being pushed & I was rising to the bait. I felt attacked, put down, trampled on & left feeling unworthy.

It wasn’t the other people making me feel like this. I was creating the drama in my own mind! Instead of smiling, gracefully accepting the situation & moving on instantly I was creating a huge story out of it that I carried around for weeks (if not longer). This was making me rather unhappy.

The drama was then manifesting physically around my middle, right over my Solar Plexus Chakra our major energy store hub of self-worth & self-esteem. I was draining my own energy & forming a protective layer in an attempt to create a barrier.

Anxiety was rearing its ugly head too, which just fed the story more. I dreaded bumping into my perceived attackers & constantly worried about ‘what they would say next.’ I bet these people were totally clueless to the crazy that was going on in my head. It was my mind creating the fuss then attracting more of it in reality. Totally bonkers behaviour – looking back now.

How did I figure all this out?

Having the space to connect in with myself properly without distraction showed me the way. (I should have been doing this from the start but again I was too caught up in it) Spending lot’s of time out doors connecting with nature cleared away the cobwebs got me grounded. Being away from the usual triggers, having a solid regular yoga practice, eating nourishing seasonal food, new projects to get stuck into & friends to catch up with helped disconnect from ‘the story.’ It no longer mattered & I could see I had just been attacking myself with my thoughts.

Focusing on things that I love filled up my Soul cup & gave me so much happiness. Instead of wasting energy on perceived drama & put my powers into creating a life I love everyday. Just how it should be, not just 90% of the time with 10% drama creation. 100% love all the time.

Self-love & healing

Metaphysically I used deep meditation to shift the victim consciousness, speak my truth & stop being a people pleaser (this is a big reason I was reacting so badly as I want everyone to be happy. When I perceived people weren’t happy with my actions I attached to that & felt like a failure. I am only responsible for my own happiness, no one else’s). Meditating with three of the healing releasers from New Energy Awakening assisted in the shift.

Attending a brilliant day retreat for healers showed me other ways to release & just be. Using a combination of breath work, ecstatic dance, moving meditation & sound healing. Being around people with the same passions for wellness & healing was healing in itself too.

Finally I had an extremely beneficial kinesiology session that really helped me get to the bottom of this deep-seated emotional hook. It’s amazing what you unearth by stripping by the layers.

Once I relaxed, regained my centre & personal power my body responded. Without even trying the layers of protection melted away. My stressed out skin cleared up & I haven’t had a break out in weeks. The long yoga top I brought to practice in (the cloak) hasn’t been worn in the yoga room. I now look in the mirror with eyes full of gratitude & love. I’ve called back my power.

The result is I feel lighter, brighter & my jaw isn’t aching. (We can hold a lot of tension here) I’m standing taller again so my shoulders are less tight & my spine is nice & straight. (Hunching over is another form of protective behavior) All signs to take note of in the future.
