Super Full Moon December 2016

Here we are the final month of 2016 & the third Super Full Moon (8:07am WA time) in a row to top it off. Just a few days ago I felt like I couldn’t muster up enough creative energy to write this post. Instead of intuiting a Full Moon message I was just going to drop by and say ‘I’m honoring the call to rest & don’t forget to put your crystals out for a cleanse.’

In between having this thought and today (or yesterday actually, Tuesday 13^th) I pulled back and took some serious time out. Now I’m feeling topped up, clearer and inspired to write. After all writing is part of my healing, it’s something I love and once I connected with this core value the words started to flow.

Last week when I was tired and a bit overwhelmed with this year-end stuff I felt I needed to write out of obligation. ‘It’s Full Moon, I always write on this day I have to keep my consistency up’ my inner mean girl whined. I’m sure you all would have understand if I didn’t show up to post as I was putting my needs first.

Once I got over myself and out of my own way by creating some much needed space everything lightened up. All I wanted to do was write this post more than ever.

The moon today is in the sign of Gemini (opposite to Sagittarius) that is represented by the twins, two sides, the equal and opposites. Totally normal then to be feeling a bit like you are swinging rapidly from divine to cray cray in a blink of an eye. The downs are positive remember. Without them we cannot recognize the highs. Strive to have shorter downs and long ups.

Energy levels have peaked and troughed quicker than ever since August. Daily plans or schedules are subject to change quicker than the wind. Not getting thrown off kilter and staying open to the changes when they present offers a smoother ride. Getting emotional and wound up when things haven’t gone to plan is draining. Be in acceptance and surrender instead.

Recognising Old Patterns.

Under the light of today’s Super Full Moon energy we are being invited to have the final push of letting go and releasing old patterns. These are the one’s that are no longer serving us. Old safely nets we resort too or ways of reacting when faced with a challenge. It may feel right to be winding down for the end of the year but there is still work to do. However keeping life balanced and grounded will be the greatest challenge I feel right now.

One of my repetitive habits has been pushing on and over committing. It’s a huge lesson I’ve kept on top of this year but then let slip in a quest to get everything wrapped up (excuse the pun) before Christmas. When you are in a position of service (for the universe & humanity) it is hard to say no to people. Especially when you totally understand they need some assistance. However serving from an empty cup is not serving. It’s better to say no than do a halfhearted job.

To crack this challenge I have had really to pull back when I’ve felt myself start to feel run down and empty. Physical tiredness and lack of enthusiasm for things I usually love is a good sign for me to take a break. I always give a 100% when I’m working. No matter how crappy I feel I pull out the extra supplies to do my absolute best & leave my shiz at the door. There’s a lesson here as well to keep a little back for myself. When I push on because I’ve ignored the stop signs I crash. Not healthy waking up the following morning feeling like I’ve been run over by a truck.

Recently I paid attention when I started to feel flat and called in for assistance. Getting yoga classes covered, cancelling healing clients and saying no to social gatherings was hard. However I felt instantly better, lighter and less contracted once I created some space for myself. I’ll be no good to anyone if I completely burn out and get sick.

Looking on from the other side of a busy few weeks I feel back on form today from stepping away and saying no. It’s what I needed to do. Honoring my own being when I know I have nothing left to give is actually giving back to myself. The major theme of rest and relaxation is showing up everywhere. There has been no ignoring it.

There is still some denseness to let go of for us all today. The new energy for 2017 is on the horizon. I can see the new dawn rising but we still have to live out today first. It’s even more important now than ever to take proper rest. Healing is hard work! Change is uncomfortable and it shakes us up. With these big pushes of release we need to take time to allow our beings to settle to the new normal.

Changing Times & the 2017 New Energy

I read a fantastic intuited newsletter from Sarah Wilder of The Fifth Element Life today. Sarah highlighted how the core values of the Christmas season have become very blurred and detached. It seems to be all about showing up and joining in with the festive hysteria.

Have you felt unbelievable anxiety when faced with yet another Christmas function?

Yet you have dragged yourself along in fear of being branded a sour puss or Scrooge? When in fact you would love to have been at home having quiet time or out in nature doing something that nourishes you. The party scene is just not appealing, even though in the past it was. I’m talking 100% from experience myself here. However I did pull in the strength to say no to some social events or choose the less intense gatherings. Yes I did get questioned about my lack of attendance. Yet I was honest by replying I’m too tried and need to not be in big social crowds right now. Letting go of the perceptions other people draw of me is another healing lesson. Who cares what everyone else thinks when I’m putting my needs first. I’m ready to let go of old outdated social expectations for sure.

These final challenges of 2016 are setting us up for the fresh start next year. Set clear boundaries now and start new ways of living for the next nine year cycle. Choose the light path that ignites your fire rather than following along with the crowd that could potentially dull your flame.

Stay strong everyone, you’ve so got this covered. Intuition is also highly activated. Pay attention to any messages from within or external signs that offer confirmation to your questions. Be on the look out for emotions running high in yourself and others. With the energy building up to carry us forward tensions may rise. Keep a solid connection to your heart space; steer clear of drama and making sure you stay super grounded. Walking bare foot on the earth, salt-water baths or swimming in the sea, being around trees, animals and all things nature is a winning combination.

Don’t forget to out your crystals out for a cleanse and charge too. I hope you enjoy today’s Super Full Moon. Even if you feel a little out of sorts trust it’s all part of the shifting and upgrading experience we are all here to live.

Moon Inspired Reflections

It’s been two weeks now since the power packed Super Full Moon and today (Tuesday 29th November) we welcome in the New Moon in Sagittarius (8:18pm WA time).

How did you find the Super Full Moon? For me it was big and the effects lasted well over the usual three days. Talk about tired, yet unable to sleep. Life moved in slow motion which looking back is just what I needed. A few days to just be and give myself room to adjust to this next upgrade.

All last week I have been reflecting on how I experienced the Super Full Moon. What started off as a quick FB post morphed into an essay. The words just flooded out which were way too much for a FB post. To truly honour the energy behind my musings a blog was the only way forward.

This post has taken a good twelve days in writing progress in order to completely form. I fully trust now is the time to share it. Sometimes with posts I miss the ‘energetic window’ and posts don’t feel relevant anymore. Instead they get filed as a personal journal. Even though we are starting a new moon cycle today the reviewing of the previous cycle is still important. It can help lay the foundations as to where to focus next.

In my reflections the Super Full Moon saw shadows rise to the surface, tests present and I was called to step up my game where I feel I slipped off path. The tests were not subtle either. They were ‘bam’ smacked right in my face. Then I was asked “how will you handle it this time?” It was so quick, I had to think of my feet and be 100% heart connected to make positive moves. There was no time to say “not this again” I had to take action immediately. The universe was making sure I got back on track and wished me to acknowledge that I strayed. I knew I had wobbled as my inner gut feeling was churning which made it easier to switch back direction.

My biggest realization from this moon brought awareness to how I express my energy. All year I have been mindful of the people I surround and share space with. I’ve realized I don’t need to be everything to everybody and spread myself thin to please others. (A old pattern from my over giving days) I’m lucky to have a solid set of close friends who ‘get me’ and don’t zap my resources. The energy vampires that used to hang around have quietly moved on since I stopped giving. It may seem to some people I have fallen off the radar a bit. I’ve still been around doing what I do but quietly in the background.

When a situation arises that instantly sets my energy alarms off, ‘this could be draining or a I’m being taken too far out my way to accommodate others’ I take a step back and consider the options. Politely declining or suggesting a few changes so that I won’t feel over stretched has worked well. There were times my schedule became over whelming. Opportunities I had manifested were now a reality. (Thank you <3!) I knew I wouldn’t energetically be in my best place to serve if I didn’t make a change and become adaptable. Shifting a few things around and spreading the load over two weeks was a simple and effective move. Thus allowing me time to recharge so I can be at my best all round.

Loving people from afar has worked a treat too. I don’t want to put up boundaries or cut people off completely, just step back from the physical connections for a while. Etherically sending good vibes and kind thoughts is just as strong as physically being present. Big crowds and groups are too intense for me right at present. When I make the call to not attend in person I can still be there energetically without actually being there.

Another theme that has been strong over the past few weeks is creating our own opportunities. I’m a huge believer in this. If there is something I am interested in I will go out of my way and find out about it. When people seek out my advice about the things I love and participate in then I freely share. If someone has gone out his or her way to use me as a knowledge bank that is awesome and I’ll happily assist. It lights me up to be able to assist.

In the past I have been known to ‘over shared’ or even force things on others whom may not have been ready or interested. “Hey I saw this and thought of you.” Most of the time I’d receive a nice thank you. However sometimes my nice gesture was thrown back at me with malice then I’d get upset. I’ve since learned what I perceive as freaking awesome may be someone’s idea of a nightmare or waste of money. There is a fine line for personal recommendations. Therefore I shouldn’t be offended if my sharing wasn’t met with love, just accept we all have different tastes.

I can’t help myself sometimes though, especially when I get really excited about something I just want to tell the world!

Another reason I used to share everything came from a fear of being attacked from other people’s FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). I’d hear:

“Why haven’t your shared this with everyone?”

“How come I’m the last to hear about this?”

Polar opposite of the above hey? Attacked for sharing and attacked for not sharing. No win right! My sharing patterns of old were all coming from a place a fear. For sure love was present, especially in the first scenario but when fear was driving the bus it just didn’t flow. It didn’t feel right. This is probably why when I did share en-mass from fear of attack it mostly fell on deaf ears and no one came on board.

Over time I’ve realised those who wish to learn from me will seek me out independently and they do. We all need to carve our own paths and not just except it all to be handed over on a plate whilst someone else does all the hard work. This is called self-responsibility. I don’t need to expel my energy or resources’ making sure everyone is in the loop leaving myself drained and time short. This is being responsible and accountable for my own energy.

New Moon Intentions

With tonight’s New Moon I will be setting an intention around all the themes that have arisen from my Super Full Moon reflections.

Ensuring my actions are backed with love and not fear. Without fear I have freedom and with freedom I flow.

Trusting my intuition when something doesn’t feel right that may be draining rather than enriching for my energy.

Be the leader in my own life and take self-responsibility.

Wind down and slow down. With the holidays around the corner I give myself full permission to take a break to rest and relax.

Have a wonderful New Moon this evening and use this powerful universal energy to make things happen.

Reflections (with FREE worksheet!)

After Tuesday’s post I felt very inspired to produce something practical to assist my readers, you lovely folk, in recognizing the joy in your lives. Even if you’ve had one bog hole of a day there is always something to learn & happiness to be gleaned.

Part of my business coaching actions each fortnight is to write a reflection centered around what I have achieved & how I can turn challenges into opportunities. This gave me the idea to produce a worksheet for you all (Totally complimentary!) to help reflect on your day. I’ve selected a few simple questions to ask yourself & reflect back on. Don’t be daunted & this is just for you. You do not need to share this reflection with anyone.

If you’re new to journalling this is a great place to start. I find it really helps to sit down somewhere quite when you have a spare fifteen minutes or so. if the answers don’t come straight away don’t stress. Move onto the next question & come back. You may be surprised at your answers. Especially on days you have found challenging there may well have been a lot of good, positive blessings that have happened but one ‘down’ moment may have taken all your focus.

The point of this exercise is to get you focused on all the good in your life day by day. (There is TONNES of it!) The more you reset your mind to this notion & look at the positives the more will be returned to you. If you just focus on the crap aspects more crap will be attracted. Not healthy.

Recognising your challenges & how you deal with them is important too. These challenges are hidden lessons. Once you’ve learned the lesson you close the loop & you won’t repeat it. It might take a few goes of each lesson to ‘get it.’ Approach recurring lessons with different tactics. That’s why it’s important to write down how you deal with challenges to know what works & what didn’t.
