Oracle Cards – My Three-Card Spread

It’s a Saturday morning as I write this. I awoke earlier than my planned alarm feeling rested, at peace & ready for a two full days of self-love activities. It amazes me that my body knows just what it needs and isn’t afraid to tell me. I went to bed with the intention of getting a full nights sleep & I got just that.

Getting up earlier than I thought meant I can take my time with my morning routine. I did a full twenty minutes of oil pulling, lit my candles and now I’m drinking my favourite tea. Sitting with the heater on full blast is lovely because no one else is around to complain, “it’s too hot.” I’ve had a few minutes on social media to say ‘hi.’ Lastly I reviewed my week, checked back in my journal & given thanks to the universe for helping me become who I am today. Setting my day up the right way.

Now I’m in a happy space, content, warm and focused. It’s time to pull a three-card spread from my Angel Therapy cards. I introduced you briefly to oracle cards in this post. Today I felt like a good scry 😉 When you work knowingly with the universe it’s amazing how well things flow.  It just makes sense. My cards today are evidence of that. A huge smile spread my face as my question was answered.

A three-card spread works like this. You set your intent, I ask a question out load or in my head. Whilst I think of this question I shuffle the cards. I then get a knowing or I’m told to ‘stop.’ I then pull the top three cards from the pack. The first card you pull goes face up on the left. This is related to your immediate past of the question you asked. The middle card is the present, what you need to know right now. The final card goes to the right. This is the immediate future if you follow the guidance of the middle card on your currant path.

Here’s what I pulled today:

Seren 3 Card Spread

Left: Fairies – You have a strong bond with the fairies, and you life purpose involves helping Mother Nature.

Middle: Heart Chakra – The answer you seek is in your heart right now. Be open to giving and receiving love.

Right: Listen to Your Intuitive Feelings – Your body is receiving accurate messages from the divine.

This selection really resonated with the question I asked. Everything I have learned over the past year on my spiritual journey has taught me to ‘follow my heart.’ Gut instincts are more powerful than we realise. It’s a process, it takes time to shuffle through and get rid of the crap that holds you back. Crap which is usually fear based. The beauty is I will never stop learning, the crap will keep coming up but hopefully over time I will sift through it quicker.

Only the previous day I had a session with my mentor. My cards today fitted in so perfectly with what we went through. The most poignant advice being “Don’t assume you are immediately wrong.” If someone challenges me great but I shouldn’t give into the resistance of self-doubt and instantly think I am wrong. There is no wrong. Everyone is right in his or her own way. The middle and right cards cements this for me. If I follow my heart, trust and listen to my intuitive feelings I’m doing the right thing for me. Just as if anyone follows their own heart it is right for them.

We all receive divine messages. Whether we realise it or understand them is another matter. The explanation from the guidebook for the third card says this, “most of these messages come through in your physical and emotional senses, as your body is extremely sensitive to subtle energies. Sometimes you may not understand your feelings, yet they have accurate, underlying wisdom.”  Doreen Virtue – Angle Therapy Oracle Cards 2006.

The lifestyle I have adopted over the past nine months has really helped me be in tune with my physical body and my intuition. Practicing everyday and tuning into the invisible has helped accelerate my understanding. I can tell when a message is for me or whether it is related to my clients. There is a difference with how I ‘feel’ or ‘hear’ these messages. Trusting in these messages is HUGE part. Once you let go of any ego driven thought and just go with it, the answers speak for themselves. I’m learning everyday & I’m always so hungry for new knowledge I thrive from this.

Onwards and upwards I go. I am living the best possible life for ‘me’ right now. This is what I shall honour and give daily gratitude for. It is hard to keep out of the drama of everyday life. Through my healing work I’m discerning when it is appropriate to get involved and when I should just keep quiet. It’s getting easier, slowly.

My mantra: Discernment, discernment and discernment.

Professional Spiritual Services

Something rattled my cage recently & fired up a spark. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion for sure I respect that but when people I care about get attacked for doing something they truly love I jump up to defend them. Especially when I believe what they are doing is helping the world not exploiting it.

It’s always been a hot subject when it comes to paying for spiritual services. Money is a form of energy exchange it is the way our world works, it brings order and meaning to material goods and services in a fair way. The issue I am bringing to attention is some people believe spiritual services should be free. It is a delicate subject but this discussion can be applied to any service provider, not just the spiritual ones.

I read a comment on FB where someone got very upset about an advert for a professional spiritual service. They were ‘sick of it being about money’ and ‘didn’t like those who feed off those in need.’ Neither do I. I am sure there are business services in all fields out there that aren’t above board and do dodgy things that may be seen as ‘praying on the needy.’ This comment was targeted at a service very dear to me that I know to be 100% genuine, authentic and I was more than happy to pay for. The business in question provides ample complimentary advice daily so it did get my back up that it was being attacked.

Okay here is the issue. The answers you seek are inside of you, every single one us has an infinite library of knowledge imprinted in our Soul for us to access. This spiritual knowledge is free. It is up to us to access it out of our own free will. We also have the ability to heal ourselves and even stop ourselves from developing dis-ease in the first place. However because some of us get ourselves in all sorts of fixes and tangles where our heads are so busy we can’t see the wood for the trees we may need extra help. Help from more experienced people to teach us how to tap into our inner information bank.

Metaphysical mentors and healers provide services just as a personal trainer, life coach or therapist does. These services involve time giving & I believe in paying that person for their time. It’s their time and guidance I am paying for to help me access the ‘free’ information from within. This monetary exchange keeps the balance. Would you get an hours training from your PT then not pay them? Water is a basic human essential need yet we all pay our water rates. If we all knew how to access our free spiritual knowledge for ourselves then I wouldn’t even need to be writing this post.

I feel it is truly wonderful that the gifted Earth Angels amongst us can earn an honest living from charging for their services. The work they do is amazing and why should these people have to give it away for free because someone decided ‘spiritual’ shouldn’t be charged for. They would be stuck in Soul destroying jobs that are not their passion just so they can pay the bills. I for one needed some spiritual guidance, I found a professional service I believed in & was happy for a monetary exchange to happen. It feels good to support these wonderful people in making a profession out of their natural talents. Everyone’s got to eat right?!

There are healers & mentors that only work for donations, trades or pro bono. If you do not wish to pay then seek out one of these people who offer just as good service.

This topic resonates even deeper for me. I am at the stage now with my own healing work that I am ready to place monetary value on my services. If I eventually want to give up my office job and earn a living from my holistic work this is a natural progression for me. My dream of owning my own business & managing my own brand is slowly becoming a reality.

For years I gave away my graphic design services for free. With my crippling self-doubt I didn’t feel worthy or good enough to charge people so I just gave it away for free. Deep inside my Soul was crying out for me to step up to the plate and own my worth. I ended up giving so much away it caused me great pain. Now I charge correctly and people are happy to pay me for the service I provide. Those who still want something for nothing do not even approach me now.

I hit the same mental roadblock again when I was given my Reiki Masters blessing to start charging for my healings. She explained to me the extra factors I had to consider when setting my price. Reiki isn’t just a one-hour session. There is preparation & continued development involved behind the scenes that clients don’t see. I work from home yes but I pay rent and bills for that space this also needed to be considered. I did feel awkward setting a price as the people who let me practice on them when I was learning were now the people whom I would charge.

Following the advice I was given I set my prices after deeply meditating for the answer. The answer came. I set my price and told my clients. I owned my decision. No one questioned and some were even ecstatic that I was taking payments. They’d actually been hanging out to pay me in money rather than bring gifts.

Paying for spiritual services isn’t for everyone. For me I am in support from both sides of the table. Professionals in the spiritual industry have just as much right to earn a living from their gifts as everyone else. They assist people in becoming the best they can be from a place of pure intent & unconditional love. I invite you to support them if you can or wish.

The Solar Plexus

Most of you will have heard of the Chakra system of the energetic body. Here’s a quick 101 for those who are not familiar. In metaphysics it is believed our life force energy or Prana is held in different centres of the body called Chakras. Chakra in Sanskrit means ‘wheel’ or ‘turning’ as each Chakra is constantly spinning. There are twelve major chakras in total, with another seven to twenty one from the legs down. The middle seven are the most commonly known and worked with. There is a wealth of information all about chakras to be found on the net if you are unsure.

In this post I am focusing on just the third chakra the Solar Plexus or Manipura in Sanskrit. The colour of the Solar Plexus is yellow and its element is fire, this brings a strong association with the Sun our most powerful energy source. Located just above the navel it is the energy hub from which other energy centres draw from.

The reason I am highlighting this Chakra today is from a personal journey I have taken with it. Up until a year ago my life was governed by my crippling self-doubt. I needed to justify everything I did to prove it was worthwhile & to prove myself worthy. Instead of just rolling with it & owning my truth, I doubted and had to back up everything I did. My self-doubt stems from a Soul based desire to be perfect. Not just in this life, from many before. I keep coming back to ‘out do’ myself each time.  Nothing wrong with that, we are here to grow & expand after all but the self-doubt was stifling my progress.

How does the Solar Plexus fit in? As the Solar Plexus is located around the stomach region trapped emotions such as anger, frustration, doubt, low self-esteem & worry can affect the organs in this area. For me I didn’t suffer terribly from digestive disorders but I certainly was very uncomfortable. By the end of the workday my stomach would be so bloated and gassy I looked like I was pregnant. I would dwell for days, even years on past hurts. All those emotions were building up inside me and manifesting in physical form around my middle. Slowly my stomach would swell to beach ball size with every emotion I held. Have you noticed when you are stressed or have a fright you instantly go to cover your stomach area with your hands? This area is precious & we strive to protect it.

My turning point happened when I got onto my Spiritual path nearly a year ago now. I needed sitting down for a good talking too directly from my Soul. That is just what I got. The work I did with my Soul Mentor was invaluable. I put in the effort and I got the results. Now I am following my Soul’s guidance to be on the right path for me the crippling self-doubt is under control to near non-existence. By leading from Soul there is no need to question, as I trust her guidance is spot on for me.

Now I have released my trapped emotions and negative thinking patterns my Solar Plexus is very happy & balanced. The result is no more bloating or cramping. I have literally lost kilos from around my waist & stomach. The layers of extra padding that grew to protect my precious energy hub is no longer needed or serving me so it has gone. It is amazing how that invisible energy and emotions can impact you physically. Change that negative way of thinking and wow you can change your life for the better. I am living evidence if you need it.

To keep my Solar Plexus balanced I must not hold on or get attached to situations or the emotions I mentioned above. Learning to let things go & wash through me has been tough. Now I acknowledge a situation has happened, I find the lesson in it & let it go. If I physically feel unbalanced I simply lay my palms over my Solar Plexus or have my left hand on my heart and my right on my stomach. This draws a connection between the two & keeps the energy flowing. A visual affirmation for me is I wear the Solar Plexus symbol on a wrist bracelet. Just to remind me where my energy power centre is if at any point that doubt creeps up on me.

Have a wonderful day everyone.
