New Year, New Ideas

How are we all doing seven days into the New Year? I feel the pace is already a lot slower than last year. Inspiration is flooding through for many. It is for me for sure. Once minute I’m sitting quietly then the heavens literally open & wham idea central hits.

If you have some hot ideas get them written down so you don’t forget them. Committing ideas to paper then holds you responsible to act on them. Keep referring to your ideas book & be inspired to make them a reality.

My suggestion also is to keep these gems sacred for a while. Jumping too quickly & rushing to share your plans can easily cause a derail. Especially if the people you share with react negatively. It might put you off ever getting them started.

Just like growing a plant from a seed. Here’s an easy process to follow.

Put the seed in the earth – get your idea on paper
Let the seed sit & settle – meditate with your ideas, visualise your plans already happening, imagine you are living the idea already
Nurture – Feed your idea, add water i.e. do research; gather all the extra information you need to get the plan started.
Watch it grow – start the ball rolling & take action, make your idea a reality in what ever way you need to.
Bask in the beauty you have created as your idea (or plant) is flourishing.
Ongoing care – Don’t stop now, we are here to evolve. Move your idea onto the next stage.

When your plan or idea is in full fruition then is the time to share. Once you are living it & believing in it then nothing will sway you. Even if others rock your boat this is a great sign of positive resistance. It shows you are moving forward & the equal & opposite force is appearing as a pull back. Keep going! You will be strong enough & the idea cemented to use the resistance to push your idea further forward.

This is the point when if you require others assistance it’s the time to ask. Your seed is set & growing strongly. If you go to others too early with nothing to show they might not wish to invest their precious time in helping you. If haven’t made your idea your own & put your stamp on it, someone you go to for assistance might see some gold in your idea & make it ‘his or her own.’ Think Facebook.

You have taken action; you are the leader in your project. If you have done your work it will show & others will be more inclined to follow your lead. On the other side of the coin if you have any self-doubt this may well be mirrored back to you from others. To reduce this own what you say & the doubt will melt away. If you’re excited then others will get excited too & want to be part of what you have created.

Celebrate! Reward yourself for a job well done. If it’s a new business venture or personal achievement you’ve just brought to light congratulate yourself. Every goal should be acknowledged. Your reward can be something quite small or as large as you like.

Meditation for Inspiration

Daily mediation is part of my lifestyle. It was on my ‘most desired’ list for when I was creating the life I love to live manifestation. Depending on my schedule I usually practice my longest & deepest meditation, minimum half an hour, in the mornings. If I’m teaching yoga in the morning I try & fit meditation into the hour break I have between classes. If this isn’t possible I wait till I get home at lunch- time. This is great also to re-balance & relax me especially if it’s been a high-energy morning.

I love Friday’s, who doesn’t it. Even though my new life doesn’t fit the usual Monday to Friday mould anymore I still enjoy ‘the end of the week’ Friday feeling. Every second Friday is now my full day off, no teaching & I try to keep it free from healing sessions too. The other Friday in between I only teach one class at 6pm. Nice to have the whole day to do my desk related jobs.

Last Friday I woke up late for me, naturally at 8:30am. I must have needed the sleep & if I don’t need to set an alarm I won’t. I try to avoid technology if I can when I first get up or it’s too easy to get sucked into emails, social media or general ‘dicking around’ online. 😉 A nice cup of Yorkshire tea is in order though first whilst I go over my to do list. Then it’s time to meditate.

Friday’s guided meditation was calling to me as soon as I woke up. Usually I sit for a while & scan my meditations to see which one springs out at me. I already knew that Money & Wealth Manifesting by Elizabeth Peru was the one I needed on Friday.

It’s a very practical meditation that invites you to take notes if anything comes up for you. I know this seems strange at first, as isn’t meditation all about stillness, letting go & not thinking? There is a big difference between the thinking monkey mind rambling on & listening to the voice of your Soul.Meditation takes on many forms. This meditation is very ‘active’ & hands on. Inside every bodies heart centre (energetically speaking) there is a huge library of knowledge from many lifetimes to tap into. Mediation is the bridge to access this knowing. It takes practice but through consistent meditation you’ll get to discern the difference between the voices in your head.

Through my daily meditation I connect deeply with my Soul who knows 100% what is best for me. Throughout the Money & Wealth Manifesting journey ideas were literally pouring in on how I can create new business opportunities. My Soul was flooding me with hot new creative solutions to take my business to the next level. I chose to be still & let the process unfold, as I trust I will remember what I need to take away with me. If you’re new to this for sure take notes. As soon as I finished I was off, pen in hand recording everything that had come through.

I did step away for twenty minutes or so. Took a shower, did some more cleansing rituals & then came back to my note-book. It’s good to give new ideas some space to breathe. If you pounce on something too quickly you can literally strangle the life out of it. Stepping back & then reviewing from afar I could really feel which ideas I should set rolling first.

Travelling to a change of space

Who likes to travel? Me! That’s who. I love it I thrive from mixing with different people, cultures and seeing things ‘outside of my box.’ My over seas travel journey started late. I didn’t leave my home country of England till I was nineteen. At twenty-four I took off on a one year around the world adventure. Most of my friends had already done ‘gap years’ between high school and university so to do gap year at twenty-four could be seen as late.

Travel sabbaticals later in life are very popular now especially if you have long service leave to cash in. I like having the financial stability behind me now to not have to be super budget when I’m on the road. Yes I’ve done the hostel thing and eaten cold beans out the can for dinner so I’m not 100% posh packer. I like variety so it’s great for me to go 5 star one trip then pull back to budget the next depending on where I’m going.

My favourite part of travel is the change space I receive. If you’ve read my posts about ‘Energy Cleansing’ and ‘Clean Your Space’ you’ll understand how the atmosphere around us can affect us energetically. It’s the space we are surrounded by, the invisible energy it contains that feeds us. This energy inspires us, gives us ideas, allows’ us to grow. If we stay in one place for too long doing the same thing every day, just like water in a pond, we go stagnant. How often have you said ‘I really need to get out of town for a while?’ because you are ready for a change of space.

Just like people vibrate on different energy frequencies, places do too. Have you noticed how different you feel when you’re in a new place or country? You can instantly relax & feel happy. That is why we feel so good on our holiday’s the new energy space of a different place revives us. You are breathing in new nutrients from the new space around you. When you come home you’re not only chilled out but you’re charged up with new ideas and inspiration. I know I am.

I travel to draw from this pool of new space so I can come back with fresh new ideas for my life and work. I took a big trip around South East Asia over the Christmas break. I visited Vietnam, Cambodia and Thailand. Each country offered a new culture, new people, new tastes, smells, sights, sounds & that exciting new invisible space. I had a few ideas rolling before I left but it wasn’t until I’d had my change of atmosphere that they truly flourished. Here we are right now with the project inspired from this trip. This blog!

I had huge waves of inspiration for writing and painting in the temples of Angkor Wat. The colours and sounds of the Vietnamese markets set my mind racing with new thoughts. Eating Khmer curry out of a hallow coconut made me want to ditch my plates. All these fresh new experiences was just what I needed when I was so ready to ‘get out of town.’

When you return from a trip you are filled up with the new energy that you bring back too your home. You can fill your space with it breathe it into your usual atmosphere from within you. Bringing back souvenirs or artwork, hanging frames of your trip photographs all pull the new energy into your space & keep it there. You don’t need to travel overseas either. A trip within your own state can offer the same space change. Just like I did in the post ‘Travelling Alone in Fun!’ Go somewhere different, a part of town you seldom visit or try a new restaurant in a suburb you’ve never been too. Anything outside in nature is always a winner too. Trees and water instantly breathe new life into me. It’s all different space and it can revive you if you’re feeling that pull for a change.

Next time you’re feeling flat and looking for some inspiration or a need to get out of town go find yourself a change of space.
