FREE! Monthly Intentions worksheet

Can you believe it’s four days into March already? Where has time gone?!

At the end of/start of the year we all get on board with setting intentions or New Year’s Resolutions. I feel a few months into the year our focus might have waned slightly & those intentions might have been forgotten. To assist us all (myself included!) to get back or stay on track I’ve created a NEW FREE worksheet.

Here’s what I have come up with a ‘Monthly Intentions worksheet.’ A few simple questions to plan out your month & what you’d like to achieve. Then we dig a little deeper to get you really connecting within. Complete a new sheet every month. Stick it up somewhere you will see it regularly to stay focused & above all have fun with it. It can’t be all work & no play!

At the end of the month review & reflect on you’re progress. If you’ve haven’t achieved everything, no stress. Use it as a learning curve & roll on your intention to the next month. Don’t forget to congratulate & give yourself a nice reward (doesn’t have to be lavish, an extended sit down on the couch or a bottle of Kombucha!) for any achievements, no matter how small. Always good to have something nice to work towards as well as just plain ol’ personal development.

What Brings You Joy?

This is a simple question right? Maybe not for some. I’m always looking for patterns & themes with my healing clients (& in my own life). We are all part of the universal ebb & flow. That means if something is affecting us individually it’s actually affecting us all on a whole. We are all one in the universe. There for it is important for my to aware of these patterns so I can best assist.

A theme this month has been strongly focused around joy. I myself have been asked many a time from my mentors ‘what brings you joy?’ These past few weeks I have been asking my clients the same question. I was totally shocked to be met with blank stares or ‘I don’t know, nothing.’ It breaks my heart when people become so disconnected with their hearts they don’t know what makes them tick. Its no wonder life is depressing & miserable if you are not connecting with your core & your passions.

With a little coaching based around the messages I receive intuitively in sessions I am able to guide clients back to their forgotten hobbies & loves. If you get sucked into the grind of life spending so much time not doing what you love & going with the slog I can see it might be easy forget. Life shouldn’t be like that, it should not be difficult or Soul draining.

Just like everyone else I’ve been experiencing a lack of joy but on a slightly different level. I haven’t been giving myself enough time off to do some self-love. (Check out this post for more.) Yes I love building my business & being of service this does bring me great joy. My life is based around doing what I love but I do need time off to just put my feet up & watch a movie. December there hasn’t been enough of this.

Here’s a really simple technique that I use to remind myself to do some self-love when I’m in danger of being all work, work, work.

My business coach advised me to make a ‘Soul Nurturing List.’ On this list I have put everything that I love to do, that brings me joy & nurtures my Soul. All of these are non-business related. Nothing on this list will give me a financial reward & nearly all but two of the twenty things will cost me no money. Even better, Soul- nurturing that is FREE! Most do not involve travel either I can do them at home. You just need to get creative.

When it’s time for my breaks in the day or on my day off I usually have a pretty good idea what I wish to do for fun. However if I get stuck or need some inspiration I get the Soul-Nurturing list out. I can easily pick something off the list to do in my spare time.

Here are few examples from my list:

Reading
Painting or drawing
Walking
Exercise
Podcast (I’m loving Oprah’s free Soul Series right now)
Watch a movie
Baking
Self-healing
Horse riding
At home spa day – facial, hair treatment, manicure & pedicure
The list goes on….

The words ‘I’m bored’ shall never pass my lips that’s for sure.

If you have forgotten or just don’t know what brings you joy strip it back. Sit quietly somewhere, get comfortable & close your eyes. Breathe deeply & relax. Think right back to when you were a child. What was your favourite thing to do? Mine was to draw & paint or spend the day at the riding stables. These things are still in my life as an adult. You might like flower arranging, cooking, having a coffee with friends or walking alone on the beach. Everyone must have something they like to do. It’s just about remembering. It doesn’t need to cost money either. Most of mine don’t.

Go out there & give yourself some joy, it’s Christmas after all, a time to give back to yourself just as much to others.

The Big Clear out has begun

Monday this week saw Mercury go into Retrograde. It will stay this way till 10^th November. What does that mean for us? It can be a mix up period where we receive strong messages on what is good for us in our life. Retrogrades are all about clear communication. They assist us to speak out our truth & get things clear. It’s a great period & nothing to be afraid of.

The weeks leading up to retro I found I was clearing out my physically space without even realising it. What started as a quick vacuum in my healing room turned into a major overhaul. There was so much rubbish lurking in my drawers. Things I was holding on too ‘just in case.’ I filled bags with stuff that really didn’t need to be there. I created so much space I actually ended up moving a whole three-drawer unit out to another room.

The rest of the house got a good going over too. Couches we’d been given that had been sat in the shed for weeks finally made their way inside. Furniture was rearranged into different spots that gave the space a whole new feel.

Three weeks before the Mercury Retrograde is the time our theme for this period comes to light. It’s like setting an intention, what needs to be worked on. We’re asked to take note of recurring themes or situation in this time. If similar issues are presenting to you over & over this will form the basis of our Retro theme. For me it is very clear I need to learn to let go.

I’ve mentioned this before in other posts. I need to clear out old energy and not be holding onto things that no longer serve. I’ve worked on this lesson before. I will keep working on it till I close the loop for good. Letting situations wash through me & not holding onto that energy, old and new.

When something comes up & it bugs me I need to deal straight away. Acknowledge why it has caused a reaction in me, see it from the other side of the mirror & then take action. Understanding from both sides of the coin is very important. If a person is involved standing in their shoes for a while assists in bringing clarity. If I need to speak up & say I disagree with the situation, as it is not in my best interest then I will. In some cases it’s just my head taking over & once I listen to my heart for guidance I can understand fully why it was presented.

Most importantly I shall not hold on. I will let things wash through me like water in a stream. That way I stay focused on the present moment & above all clear of dense energy. Children are so good at this. We can learn a lot from them. Every day is so new & exciting, what happened yesterday has gone, they move on.

Here in the Southern Hemisphere it’s spring. What a great time to get things started. Planting our seeds for the next six months or so. This period is amazing for making plans and getting the ball rolling. Living too our best every day. Why wait? What we start now we will see come into bloom in a few months time.

Don’t get too hung up on details though. The universe has a great way of delivering what is good for us in a way we might not recognise at first. An Angel Tarot card springs to mind here, The Five of Water. Three cups are spilled over in the image but two are full. Crying over spilt milk. Focusing on the spilt cups, the negative, means you may miss the two full cups that are right there too, full of opportunity.

The energy this week is fast. Things are moving & changing rapidly. This is a great test for those ‘A Types’ that love to be in control, as they will be tested. It’s time to flow & go with it. During this period details are not set in stone. It’s a great time to experiment with an idea without being locked in tight. Be prepared for chops & changes…
