Raw Berry Muesli Bars

A few posts ago I shared an awesome recipe for baked granola bars. Here’s an alternative for those who wish some rawness. Like with most raw recipes these do involve some dehydrating so please if you’re hungry be aware you’ll be in for a long wait.

This recipe comes from the awesome book ‘Raw Food Reawakening’ by Karen Bartz aka Raw Food Karen.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 cup of nuts
  • Few slivered almonds or sunflower seeds

Method:
Process all until well mixed in your food processor. Spread onto reflex sheet of dehydrator and top with slivered almonds. Dehydrate turning and removing reflex after 6 hours or so. Will keep in airtight container for one week in the pantry or 3 weeks in the fridge.

Advice:
These are super filling. Cut into small squares. The one’s pictured were cut in half. You can also make them look less like cow pats too by pushing them into egg rings to form nice round bars. I was going for the rustic look!
